OCIR, the Rwandan Coffee Office, is an agency of the Rwandan Ministry of Commerce. Among its other responsibilities, OCIR is directly charged with developing the specialty coffee sector in Rwanda.
Specialty coffee is a central pillar of Rwanda's economic development strategy, and OCIR takes its responsibilities in this area very seriously. Rwanda is deeply committed to achieving the highest levels of quality in its coffee production.

OCIR-CAFÉ, the Rwanda Coffee Authority, has long experience in the coffee sector and is gaining recognition locally and internationally for its contributions to the development of Rwanda's coffee sector.
OCIR's vision is to play a central role in supporting and regulating the Rwandan coffee industry through its transformation to a specialty grade producer.
